Remuneration Package Range $226,126 – $242,455
The Solicitor for the Northern Territory provides the NT Government with high quality, timely, whole-of-government legal services on strategic issues. It maintains excellence and integrity in the government’s legal dealings by the provision of quality advice, representation and documentation to government Ministers, agencies and employees.
The primary objective of this position is to provide the NT Government and its Authorities and Instrumentalities with the best possible legal service either personally or through the proper management and supervision of staff in the Commercial Division. Participate in management of the SFNT so as to assist the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Department of the Attorney-General and Justice to ensure the provision of high quality, timely and cost effective legal services to Government and its Agencies.
Admission to practice as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory or eligibility for such admission (any person eligible for admission will be required to be admitted if appointed to this position).
