Deceased Estates – Exemption from Duty for the Transfer of a Motor Vehicle to a Beneficiary.

As the result of representations made by the Elder and Succession Law subcommittee on behalf of the Society, the SRO has agreed to exempt from stamp duty the transfer of a motor vehicle to a joint registered owner or where the vehicle is transferred to a beneficiary or person entitled under an intestacy.
