Payroll Tax – business stimulus measures – officially gazetted 9 April 2020
Please refer to the SRO’s COVID-19 webpage for details about the two payroll tax waivers for 2019-20.

Separately, the SRO will soon post more details (to the COVID-19 webpage) about the Payroll Tax Rebate Scheme in relation to new youth employees, and will provide you with a link at that time.

Foreign Investor Duty Surcharge – rate changes and other amendments – granted Royal Assent 30 March 2020

Property Transfer Duties concessions – officially gazetted 9 April 2020
The SRO will post more details to its website in the near future, and at that time will provide you with a link to the relevant webpages for the following measures:
— Extension to 30 June 2022: Property Transfer Duty concession for pensioners downsizing to another home.
— Extension to 30 June 2022: Property Transfer Duty concession for first home buyers of established homes.

First Home Owner Grant scheme extension – granted Royal Assent 6 April 2020
The SRO will post more details to its website in the near future, and at that time will provide you with a link to the relevant webpage for the following measure:
— Extension to 30 June 2022: First Home Owner Grant ($20 000) scheme for newly built homes.

Land Tax waiver

— Waiver of 2020-21 land tax for commercial property for eligible applicants.
