Amanda Thompson graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2011 with a Bachelor of Law/Arts with Honours and was admitted to practice in 2012.
Amanda is an Associate at Simmons Wolfhagen. She has a diverse range of experience in both civil and criminal litigation, with a focus on insurance, personal injury and workers compensation. Prior to this role, Amanda was employed at Phillips Taglieri.
Amanda was the joint recipient of the Tasmanian Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2017. Amanda is a current member of the Law Society of Tasmania Litigation and CPD Committees. She is also the current vice president of the Tasmanian Women Lawyers Committee.
Amanda is the immediate past Co-President of the Southern Young Lawyers Committee (2014-16) and former Tasmanian representative for the Australian Young Lawyers Committee (2014-16).
