About the Presenter:
Ms Madelaine Holt is the Principal of Holt Advisory, a legal consulting firm providing strategic advice in the areas of competition law, consumer law, and regulatory investigations. Madelaine has over a decade of experience working in competition and consumer law at world-class regulators, including as a Director of Enforcement at the ACCC and as the head of the Tasmanian office. Madelaine brings a wealth of knowledge she can share with her fellow practitioners, including her experiences leading complex and high-profile investigations and litigation into individuals and businesses, and ASX-listed companies. Her competition law experience includes investigations into cartel and anti-competitive conduct, misuse of market power, exclusive dealing and resale price maintenance. Her consumer law experience includes misleading, deceptive and unconscionable conduct, unfair contract terms, consumer guarantees, country of origin labelling, and franchising and other industry codes.
