The Administrative Review Tribunal (Tribunal) commenced operations on 14 October 2024 and has published 6 practice directions including the Administrative Review Tribunal (Common Procedures) Practice Direction 2024 which applies across all Tribunal Jurisdictional Areas, supplemented by:
- 3 jurisdiction-specific practice directions for instances where there are notably different or particular procedures that apply only to certain jurisdictions –
- 2 practice directions specific to particular processes that are not jurisdiction-specific –
The Practice Directions complement applicable legislation, rules and regulations, and are intended to provide specific and detailed instructions for the Tribunal, applicants and practitioners to follow to ensure a smooth and efficient process of review.
Now that the Practice Directions have now been in place for more than six months, we consider that it is an appropriate time to invite feedback. As an important stakeholder in the work of the Tribunal, we invite your views on how each of the six draft practice directions are working and if any changes ought to be considered to enhance their effectiveness.
