Amelia Higgs

Amelia Higgs, Principal, Dobson Mitchell Allport, specialises in family and relationships law. She advocates for out-of- court resolutions wherever possible, but regularly and confidently appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Amelia believes in helping her clients to find solutions that are realistic, pragmatic and tailored to individual needs. She embraces alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation and collaboration. Amelia currently sits on the Board of Women’s Legal Service Tasmania and the Family Law Pathways Network Steering Committee. Amelia is the current President of the Law Society of Tasmania and elected member of the Law Council of the Law Society of Tasmania.
