Following consultation and feedback from the legal and conveyancing professions, the State Revenue Office has amended how Part Land Tax Search is calculated in TRO.
What’s changing?
On and from Wednesday 10 December 2025, calculations of Part Land Tax Search in TRO will use a land area apportionment method instead of the contract price.
The contract price field has been removed from TRO. The land area (m²) field remains and includes a reminder message to enter accurate measurements.
Why?
This change ensures a fairer and more consistent calculation method.
Do I need to do anything?
Legal practitioners and conveyancers already enter land area measurements when completing a Part LTS, so your process stays much the same .. but excludes the contract price.

Will the changes also apply to paper applications?
Yes. The land area apportionment method will be used for all Part LTS calculations, including paper applications.
