Dr Georgina O’Donnell

Dr O’Donnell is an independent forensic and clinical psychologist based in Hobart, Tasmania. Dual specialist in forensic and clinical psychology having worked across settings including the Tasmanian Prison system, the Wilfred Lopes secure mental health unit, community-based forensic mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, and the ForensiClinic private practice. Dr O’Donnell have been an Honorary lecturer at UTAS, and had the pleasure of mentoring psychologists to achieve their specialist endorsements.

Currently working in independent private practice, based at the Hobart Corporate Centre. Dr O’Donnell regularly conducts assessment clinics in Launceston, Devonport and Burnie, and travels to the East and West coasts of Tasmania and interstate to undertake assessments on request. Virtual assessments are also available if required. Dr O’Donnell has security clearance to undertake assessments in all Tasmanian Prison Service facilities and the Ashley Youth Detention Centre.

Dr O’Donnell enjoys travelling in the course of her work to remote areas of Tasmania, and listening to a diverse range of music along the way. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Her motivating goal is to contribute positively to the safety and wellbeing of the community.
