Council AGM

Notification about the 2026 Law Society of Tasmania Council AGM have been distributed. The AGM is on Friday 9 October 2026 at 4pm.

Invitation to the profession to get along – the Society invites members to get along on Friday 9 October at 28 Murray Street from 4pm for the AGM followed by a networking opportunity with your colleagues.

Regional AGMs – The 2026 regional Southern, Northern and North-Western AGMs were held on Wednesday 30 September. To nominate, the applicant must be either a practising certificate holder, or an associate who is deemed to hold a practising certificate under the Legal Profession Act (2007). This year elections were held in the North-West and North, with counting taking place at the respective regional committee AGM on 30 September. A councillor’s term commences after the Council AGM on 9 October 2026.
