Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) (Tas)

Annual Fees for Practising Certificates are set each year. This includes fees for a Principal, Employee, Barrister, Corporate Practitioner, Government Practitioner, Locum Practitioner and Community Legal Centre. No GST is payable on practising certificates. See Fee Guide here.

Library Levy – Regulation 70 of the Legal Profession Regulations 2008 provides for the payment of a library levy by all local legal practitioners, that is, practitioners who have a Tasmanian practising certificate. The library levy fee (which is GST exempt) is set annually, and the Society provides a percentage rebate.

Law Council of Australia Capitation Fees – This includes fees for the following categories: solicitor/practitioner, barrister and corporate.
