The Society’s Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) Scheme

The Society administers a professional indemnity insurance scheme on behalf of law practices in Tasmania. It negotiates with potential insurers each year and enters into an insurance arrangement on behalf of the profession. The current insurer is CGU.

The premium is collected from law practices as part of the practising certificate renewal process each year. Barristers can also insure under the Scheme’s policy.
