About the Presenter:

Tim Booker is Director, advisor, and business owner of Apex Advisory Australia. With a particular focus on assisting organisations facing financial or stakeholder difficulties, he helps navigate successful outcomes, bringing stakeholders on the journey. He has extensive experience in applying a commercial and pragmatic approach towards resolving operational and strategic issues. In recent years, Tim has worked on some of the largest restructures in Australia, including playing a senior role in the successful restructure and sale of Virgin Australia which went on to win the Global Turnaround of the Year award. Other recent engagements include lead advisor in a private hospital turnaround, lead transaction advisor to one of Tasmania’s largest trades businesses, and helping lead the successful turnaround and merger of a large Aged Care provider. Tim holds a Masters of Business Administration from UNSW, and has completed the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jennifer O'Farrell, Barrister, Malthouse Chambers

About the Presenter:

Jennifer O'Farrell, Barrister, Malthouse Chambers. Ms O’Farrell joined the Tasmanian Bar in July 2023, after practising at Dobson Mitchell Allport and before that, at a national firm in Melbourne. She commenced her career as the Associate to Justice Middleton in the Federal Court of Australia. Jennifer has a broad litigation practice, including general commercial litigation, planning and administrative law and personal injury. She is on the Local Federal Court Users Group, and has recently been invited to join the Law Council of Australia's Class Actions committee, having been the junior barrister for the State on the Ashley Youth Detention Centre class action. She is also the Secretary and Treasurer of the Tasmanian Bar Council. Jennifer teaches the Civil Litigation course at the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course.
