Jeremy Pritchard

Professor Jeremy Pritchard is a Professor in the Faculty of Law. In January 2023 he was appointed Director of the Tasmania Law Reform Institute, benefitting from the long contribution of previous Directors and Acting Directors. The Institute operates under a tripartite agreement between the State Government, the Law Society, and the University of Tasmania. The Institute, which is overseen by a distinguished and experienced Board, undertakes scholarly legal research in order to provide independent and impartial advice to the Attorney General and Parliament, but also to inform the general public about particular issues. • PhD, University of Tasmania, 2004. Thesis: Juvenile conferencing and restorative justice in Tasmania
• BA/LLB, University of Tasmania, 1997
• BA (Hons), University of Tasmania, 1995. Thesis: The effect of REM sleep deprivation on the learning of specific stimuli.
