SUBJECT: Description of a Mortgagee – National Mortgage Form in TOLD
There has been a recent change to the functionality in TOLD regarding the ability to include additional descriptions of a mortgagee (“free text”) in a National Mortgage Form.
A TOLD subscriber must enter the name and address of a mortgagee and may also select whether the mortgagee is a “Trustee” / “Personal Representative” in the capacity section.
There is no ability to enter a further description of a mortgagee in the capacity section in a National Mortgage Form in TOLD, for example “Blue Bank Limited in its capacity as custodian for Red Trustees limited in its capacity as responsible entity”. In this instance, a TOLD Subscriber can select “Trustee” but there is no functionality to include other words.
This functionality change occurred due to the National Mortgage Form specifications and also to create conformity to the National Mortgage Form specifications in electronic conveyancing.
