SUBJECT: ELECTRONIC CONVEYANCING – UPDATE
Expanded scope (transfers)
The functionality to prepare and lodge land dealings supporting most sales and purchases of property (transfers – whole of land) in electronic conveyancing is now available.
It is to be noted however, that such functionality does not yet extend to part tenancy transfers, or transfers where a party to the transaction is a trustee or personal representative of a deceased estate.
Part tenancy transfers must be in paper form until further notice.
Transfers where a party to the transaction is a trustee or personal representative of a deceased estate must be in paper form until further notice.
(Examples of part tenancy transfers include, but are not limited to, transfers of part interests in land, some family law transfers or a registered proprietor transferring part of their interest in the property to another person.)
