SUBJECT: EFFECTIVE DATE – VERSION 3 OF THE RECORDER’S DIRECTIONS
From today – 1 September 2026 – Certificates of Title are removed from the land titling processes of the Land Titles Office.
Version 3 of the Recorder’s Directions take effect on 1 September 2026 and make binding Directions relating to the preparation and lodgement for registration of applications, dealings, instruments, and other documents for the purposes of the Land Titles Act 1980.
The effective date for Version 3 of the Directions is 1 September 2026.
These Directions apply to all Registry Instruments and other Documents dated on or after 1 September 2026, other than those excluded as determined from time to time by the Recorder of Titles. The list of excluded Registry Instruments or other Documents and the Directions are available on the Land Titles Office website, linked below:
