Magistrate Marica Duvnjak

Magistrate Duvnjak was in private legal practice from 1994 to 2015 practising in a broad range of legal disciplines involving both commercial and litigious matters. And from 2015 to 2017 she was Principal Crown Counsel, Office of the Solicitor General of Tasmania (Litigation).

Magistrate Duvnjak took the role as Acting Chairperson of the Resource Management & Planning Appeal Tribunal from 2017 to 2018 and was Chairperson from 2018 until her appointment to the Bench.

Magistrate Duvnjak was a member of the Parole Board from 2009 to 2011, and its Chairperson from 2011 to 2015; Criminal Injuries Compensation Commissioner from 2016 to 2017; Board member Sacred Heart College from 2015 to 2020; member of the Guardianship and Administration Board 2020 to 2021; and Board member of CatholicCare Tasmania.
