About the Presenter:
Before his appointment to the Magistrates Court of Tasmania, Evan Hughes was a litigation lawyer and principal at Rae & Partners Lawyers. He practised in both criminal and civil litigation, building on more than a decade of experience with the former Legal Aid Commission, where he specialised in criminal law. Evan later broadened his expertise to include civil litigation during his time at Rae & Partners. He is also a former President of the Law Society of Tasmania.
