After a national cabinet meeting on Sunday 29 March 2020, further social distancing restrictions and closures have been introduced by the Australian Government.
People are now advised to stay at home unless they absolutely need to leave the house:
- To shop (as infrequently as possible) for essentials supplies including food and medicines
- To access medical care or for compassionate needs
- To exercise alone or with one other person
- For work or for education if they cannot do so from home
When leaving home for essential purposes, people should not congregate in groups of more than two people and should to continue practising good hygiene and social distancing.
