Call 1300 366 611 – Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Interstate callers (03) 6236 3800. Everyone can receive free legal advice from the Legal Aid Commission telephone advice service. You will speak directly to a lawyer. If calling from within Tasmania you will pay only the cost of a local call.
In addition to legal advice this service can:
- provide you with details of your nearest Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations or Notary Public;
- provide your organisation with information regarding a booking for a free community legal education session.
- they are able to offer sessions on a broad range of legal topics;
- help you choose a lawyer to suit your needs – please contact the Legal Aid Commission for a referral.
