James Groom, Director, Groom Kennedy

About the Presenter:

James Groom, Director, Groom Kennedy Lawyers, is a highly regarded corporate lawyer with extensive national and international experience, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, commercial contracts, and corporate governance. Prior to founding Groom Kennedy in 2001, he practised corporate and securities law at major firms in Australia, the US, and the UK, and served as senior corporate counsel and company secretary for GE Capital’s Australasian operations. Known for his calm, practical advice and strong client relationships, James works with a broad range of clients, from entrepreneurs and start-ups to listed public companies. Beyond his legal practice, he is a seasoned director of both public and private companies and currently serves as Deputy Chancellor of the University of Tasmania.
