SUPREME COURT OF TASMANIA
CIRCULAR TO PRACTITIONERS – No. 7 of 2025 10 June 2025 – PRESCRIBED RATES OF INTEREST FROM 1 JULY 2025
The prescribed rates of interest pursuant to r5A of the Supreme Court Rules 2000, applicable from 1 July 2025, are:
(1) – For administration proceedings under Division 6 of Part 36 (r5A(1)) – (for the 2025 calendar year) – 4.35%
(2) – For pre-judgment interest pursuant to r5A(2) – (for the period commencing 1 July 2025 and ending 31 December 2025) – 7.85%
(2A) – For pre-judgment interest if allowed pursuant to r5A(2A) – (for the period commencing 1 July 2025 and ending 31 December 2025) – maximum 7.85%
(3) – For post-judgment interest pursuant to r5A(3) – (for the period commencing 1 July 2025 and ending 31 December 2025) – 9.85%
